Three global commercial airlines companies, Air France KLM, Delta and Virgin Atlantic are the founding members of the Sustainable Airlines Initiative (SAI) powered by EcoVadis. Each SAI member is committed to continuously improving the ethical, social and environmental business standards of their suppliers across the industry’s value chain.
We believe that the future growth and success of our airlines depends on systemic transformation toward supply chain transparency and net zero emissions.
The founding members of this global Sector Initiative have chosen EcoVadis, an independent sustainability ratings agency, to coordinate the Alliance. EcoVadis scorecards and tools support benchmarking, sharing and improvement of environmental, human, and ethical practices of airlines’ suppliers over time.
SAI membership is open to commercial airline companies that are committed to sustainability and fulfill the SAI membership requirements. As part of the application process, each applicant must present their case to the SAI Steering Committee.
There are two opportunities per year.
